Mr Brownson’s 50th birthday celebrations with family and friends
Peter Brownson, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, was delighted to be able to share his 50th birthday celebrations this weekend with family and colleagues from the Bone and Joint Centre in Liverpool.
Peter, also a keen skier and outdoor enthusiast, visited the Black Knights Parachute centre near Lancaster for the experience of a lifetime as he, his wife Georgina, son Paul and colleagues Andrew Taylor, John Davidson and Matt Smith jumped from 15,000 ft on tandem descents above the beautiful scenery of North Lancashire and Cumbria.
Having previously been unable to jump through adverse weather the day was especially enjoyable for Peter as it gave him the opportunity to indulge in his daredevil activities with close friends and family alongside him.
The one minute freefall and further 4 minute parachute descent was described by Peter as “mind blowing” with views of the Blackpool Tower, sea front and beautiful Lancashire countryside being enjoyed.
Peter explains,” People ask what it is like – the pictures sum it up – it feels just like you might expect – as though you have jumped out of an aircraft at 15,000 ft and are falling to earth at about 130 mph – fantastically exhilarating!!!”
